Description
Hempablade Pore 141 is a two-component, solvent-free light filler with fast drying and long workable times. It is intended to seal any surface, fill pinholes or fix minor defects on wind turbine rotor blades. Delivered in cartridges for easy and flexible application.

Recommended use
It is recommended for effectively closing pores and correcting of minor imperfections on the surface of substrates, primers and fillers before applying finishing coatings in wind turbine blades coating systems.

Cleanliness

New build:

  • A uniform anchoring profile should be achieved by suitable surface preparation method(s).
  • Feather edges to sound surrounding coating.
  • Remove dust, loose material and any other contamination.
  • The surface must be dry and clean prior to application.

Application conditions

  • To avoid condensation, apply on a clean and dry surface with a temperature that is at least 3°C [5°F] above the dew point.
  • Surface temperature must be above 5°C [41°F] during application and curing.
  • Surface temperature must be below 35°C [95°F] during application and curing.

  • Relative humidity must be below 80% during application.
  • Relative humidity must be below 80% during curing.

  • To ensure good inter-coat adhesion, surface roughening is always necessary prior to overcoating, except in case of wet-in-wet overcoating with itself.
  • The surface must be clean before overcoating.

Storage at elevated temperatures may reduce shelf life. For advice, please consult Hempel.

Storage conditions

  • The curing agent is sensitive to moisture. Store in a dry place and keep the can tightly closed until use.
  • In case shelf life is exceeded, the product must be re-evaluated before use. Please contact a Hempel representative.
