As a top-coat in high performance coating systems for wind turbine blades, where high standards of cosmetic appearance, surface smoothness, colour retention, mechanical strength and durability are key requirements.

Application conditions

  • To avoid condensation, apply on a clean and dry surface with a temperature that is at least 3°C [5°F] above the dew point.
  • Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
  • According to Hempel’s Specification.

Relative Humidity:

  • Relative humidity must be below 85% during drying and curing.
  • Relative humidity must be in the range 20-85% during application.

Shelf life from date of production, when stored in original, unopened containers. Thereafter, the product quality must be re-inspected.
Storage at elevated temperatures may reduce shelf life. For advice, please consult Hempel.

Storage conditions

  • The curing agent is sensitive to moisture. Store in a dry place and keep the can tightly closed until use.
  • Product must be stored according to local legislation, at maximum 35°C [95°F], without direct sunlight and protected from rain and snow.
  • In case shelf life is exceeded, the product must be re-evaluated before use. Please contact a Hempel representative.
