DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Surface Preparation & Substrate Condition

  • For steel, non-ferrous metals and galvanised surfaces:
Remove oil, grease, or other contaminants from the surface.
  • Alloys that oxidise must be lightly sanded to remove all loose material.
  • Substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point, and below 50°C.

MIXING

  • Stir base and hardener separately.
  • If settling is observed, loosen material with hand stirrer followed by power-driven stirrer for homogeneous mixing.
  • Combine components and mix as follows:
Mixing Ratio (by volume) Base : Hardener = 1 : 1
Induction Time 30 minutes
Pot Life @ 30°C 8 hours

Note: Mixed paint not used after 8 hours must be discarded.

APPLICATION

Brush (Only for touch-up areas)

  • Recommended thinner: T-180 (also for cleaning)

Air Spray

Parameter Specification
Recommended thinner T-180 (also for cleaning)
Volume of thinner Nil
Nozzle orifice 1.5 – 3.00 mm
Nozzle pressure 0.3 MPa (≈ 43 psi)

Special Instructions

  • Spray application is the preferred method.
  • This wash primer is not intended for use as a shop primer for steel and must be recoated with a primer coat before exposure — preferably within 24 hours.
  • Product does not hide the base metal; gives a yellowish tinge.
  • Do not build thickness over 10 microns — excess deposition can lead to loss of adhesion to metal.

STORAGE & PACKING

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Store as per local regulations

Packing

  • 20 litres
  • 4 litres

SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Avoid inhalation of solvent vapours or paint mist
  • Avoid contact with skin & eyes
  • Provide forced ventilation in confined spaces
  • Even with ventilation, always use respiratory, skin, and eye protection when spraying
  • Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before use
